But actually… maybe they just exported religious activities! This week on the Everyday Disciple Podcast, we look at the difference between talking a good missional game and truly living in a community that is radically focused on dis...

if they gossip about Op they dont have to deal with there own guilt
The link doesn't work. Sends me to a page to get free resources but they don't seem to work.
This is great "C", thanks for sharing.
Super encouraging, thank you. It's good to hear you don't have to do it all in one day.
I don't know about you guys
Gossip and slander rolls off the devilish tongue with ease .If it wasn't for gossip and slander I would be more of a nobody than I already am .I think if your family gossips and lies about you ,it's more believable unfortunately .
When you are in a group for instance a sportsgroup, how do you get someone to join you out of the group for doing some shopping for instance
''They can't talk with so they talk about you''.
I really enjoyed the way you unpacked this subject. You conveyed it in a way I can understand and, hopefully, apply in my life. If you are able, I would appreciate any prayers for a healing in my family. I fully believe that Jesus is able to bring peace and restoration. Thank you!
Amen
Praying for my son to find the right life partner 🙏🙏. I am eternally grateful to you
powerful thanks for sharing
Something I have learned to watch out for is the people who sneakily try to get you to gossip about others in conversation because they feed on it , and use it against you. Also a trick to use on people is to give up embarrassing/ harmless info about yourself, and see how quickly things will get back to you to test how toxic an environment is.
I guess I'm just one of those guys that just gives short answers, and only asks questions, and it only works when the other person can just talk nonstop, no matter how bored I am, but I don't understand what the other person expects me to do, just interrupt them when I think of something? I think asking open ended questions is rare, but anyway I don't respond well to them, especially the vague "how are you" or "what's new" questions.
I prayed for my daughter about this. She met a guy 2 weeks later. They are both serious about each other.
I have done this at work as a team building exercise and hated it. The questions were different and less personal.
What is the title of the book? 52 things to pray for our children? I would like to pray that too
"Without cramming it down their throats, whatever that means" maybe you hit on the actual problem. Many are tired of your old unsubstantiated claims and have moved on to a better world. You on the other hand are still in the Iron Age. I would never teach my children that the earth is flat, do you do that?
The background music is very tense and distracting.
1.it feeds A false sense of supriority 2.Gossip sows dis-trust amongst others
What about positive gossip? " Hey, Betty! Tim is doing really well in AA"
Just me or is this guy giving major Ned Flanders?
those World War one mustache
Such a pity churches don't work so well
So....real 1st is? Have money, time, and energy....and pick a place in ur vicinity to regularly appear weekly?
We live in a suburban neighborhood. We know the people in the 10 households next to us and those beyond that. We care for each other. We share life together. My wife and I share Christ with them. I don’t understand why more people don’t share these experiences. We are also involved in two small groups and gather with other Christians a fifteen minute drive from us once a week. Keep proclaiming this message. We will continue to do the same.
We'll keep shouting this from the rooftops!
Amen
. I wouldn't answer any of those questions if asked by complete strangers . Unfortunately, scammers ask this type of questions phishing for personal information
Thank you for this! I am so guilty of this because I’m the one listening! I need to stop listening and just do my job!!! So thank you for this!! ✝️❤️✝️❤️✝️❤️✝️❤️
The Bible calls it talebearing. It is terrible! It will ruin a life. Please don't! 🙏
I don't think I was ever good at making friends.... live can be pretty lonely...
I have family members who call themselves Christians but don't want Scripture and have cut me off from them for giving them Scripture.
We all talk about others. We hide gossip as concern. I know I'm guilty of gossiping in this manner.
I had shared something to someone whom i call a trusted friend .I didn't think it was harmful, as what I shared was true.So this friend of mine went and spread false information of what I said ,it wasn't loving from her side she didn't protect me,I don't think that she's a good friend. I learned my lesson always to keep quiet and not trust anyone easily. If they gossip to you about other's ,they'll gossip to others about you.
Gossiping is akin to giving the stranger on the subway a blue job after they reveal themselves to you. That is what you are doing in essence when you take the bait of the gossiper who wants to spiritually degrade you. This is a war of spirit, people. Sharpen your rusty swords and be vigilant. God will test you in things that seem insignificant. Do not be caught off guard!!
Gossip is bad but you also have to be able to vent at times. I think we have to find be able to discern between the two.
Gossip is considered one of the major sin in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad once asked his followers, “Do you know what backbiting is?” They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He continued, “Saying something about your brother that he dislikes.” Someone then asked, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” The Prophet Muhammad responded: “If what you say is true then you have backbitten about him, and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.”
After that he railed a 9 year old.
I entertained it when I was fairly new to the faith with someone that had treated our son badly, this took place when we relied on Leadership to help us understand the Word assuming they were mature because of the time they have been in the faith, not realizing they were leading us astray. We attended Life Group etc genuinely hungry for the Word of God. Leadership justified their gossip by saying my family just wasn’t ready lol The Lord removed us from that unbiblical church and as we grew in the word I began to read more commentaries & apply the SOAP method. It actually became very insightful & clear. It’s very humbling to remember how much growth has taken place in the last year. Be careful if you are a new convert let it not discourage your relationship with Christ. 🙏🏽🎚️
Believe me, the people that gossip don't realize that there are more people talking about them, than the person they are talking about. It's a form of insecurity, poor self esteem, and destructive. We all have been guilty of it at some point in our life. I make it a point to stay away from people who gossip.
India teen mom 9.kids
when people don't have issues to talk they speak about other people, please may they go to watch a serie or share a book
Amen 🙏 Help Dear Heavenly Father to get my son married as he is 36+ Please Lord of Lords 🙏🙏
Guard your heart and tongue. Don’t let these things into your system as it can pollute your precious spirit and soul. God wants to protect us (our heart, soul, mind) from these things, which is why He gave us the scriptures as guidance. Proverbs 20:19 - “He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, therefore do not associate with a gossip.” “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
I’m a middle aged Christian and I don’t pay attention to whatever people say or think about me I’m 100% confident in my walk with God and my true identity never bide in to evil people. Thanks
How do you deal with coworkers who are rude to you or have an attitude whenever they say anything to you?
Thanks for sharing I have been a victim of this issue most of my entire life and it keeps getting worse I get older I would of thought aging would maybe stop the slander and gossip but I guess it’s just getting worse. Thanks for the information .
Gossipers want you to submit to their 666 intellect, which is a surrender to the devil. In a spiritual sense, you are drinking toilet water and polluting your soul with filth. You are also being tested. Put your trust in God instead of trusting someone else's thoughts.
